it's a very old idea. When the Creator of the universe had completed his superb and ingenious creation, "the Lord God said, 'It is not good that man should be alone'" (Genesis 2.18).
The remedy is not far off ...
and it's not because people are interested in what you have to say.
Rather, they expect someone to be interested in them. Why not make the first move?
Often the start of a good conversation is an open question: What do you think?
A good cup of coffee or tea, a piece of chocolate can be a conversation starter: "What do you think of this?" - "What makes a good coffee for you?
